Originally founded as Mayes Title Company by the Mayes Family, the company provided Abstracts of Title for sales and loans during the first 50 years of it’s existence.  Then with the advent of Title Insurance, Wilson County Abstract Company began issuing policies of Title Insurance for sales and loans.

The Mayes Family sold controlling interests in the business to D. Richard and Louceyette Voges who operated the business from the 1930’s through the mid 1980’s.  Having reached retirement, the Voges’s sold their interest to Bill Klingemann and Bill Knobles who oversaw operations until 2012 when Mr. Knobles retired from the business and Bill Klingemann and Dominic Carvajal became the controlling Owners and Examining Attorneys. 

The current management team has over 67 years in the title business and is anxious to serve your needs.  The company continues to provide Title Insurance and Title Information for all transactions in Wilson County and can assist with title transactions in other counties.  Wilson County Abstract Company has been an agent for Stewart Title Guaranty Company for more than 80 years, for First American for more than 30 years and for National Investors for more than 5 years.
